THE COMPARISON OF SUISTANABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT BETWEEN INDONESIA AND SINGAPORE

Indonesia and Singapore are included on Asean region. The border of that countries is straight. They are separated by Malaka channel. Indonesia and Singpore also has many tourism objects. They also concern about their each tourism object for supporting their income. Futhermore, they make a fair competition for netting many foreigners to come. Example, Indonesia is using the tourism slogan, also Singapore. On Indonesia, the slogan is Visit Indonesia Year and the tourism slogan of Singapore is Uniquely Singapore. Although they compete one each other, but the cooperation between two countries is still on and on. One of examples like, In Indonesia Mass Media, There are many advertisement that introduced Singapore has slogan, The tourism package and agent, Singapore Airlines, and many more.

It is not only on form mass media, but all mass media like TV, Radio, and another media. Singapore also promote his neighbour’s Tourism. In the Singapore strait time example, There are grafted Indonesia’s tourism slogan, The tourism package, The information about Indonesia tourism destination and facilities.

The hot topic in the world is about Sustainable right now. Sustainable is not only related with environment, politic, economic, but also with tourism development. The important thing of Sustainable tourism development is the struggle to make and recover many aspects of tourism side to be better, stronger, and continue to rage. Somehow the Suistanable Tourism could support economic income on and on.

The country who could make his tourism sector to be more sustainable, the income from tourism object would be icreased also. Indonesia and Singapore know about that trend and phenomenon. They concern and struggle to develop their tourism sector. Indonesia example, that country is still developing many things about tourism. The department of tourism in Indonesia struggle to make Indonesia’s tourism more sustainable. The activities are including construct many newest facilitates on many tourism object. Facilitates are important, because it could be a valuation aspect for the tourist to appraise. The facilitate could make the Legth of stay be continue. Legth of stay had been one of the appraisement.

Indonesia has many sustainable tourism object. It is including natural/eco tourism, historical tourism, and traditional culture tourism. The example of natural/eco tourism like beach, mountain, lake, sea, and natural sport tourism object. Historical tourism like museum, palace, temple, mosque, church, colonial fortress and many another historical objects. Than traditional culture tourism like Tanah Toraja Traditional house, Bali daily life, Batik clothes, and others.

We can take an example location that contained three kinds of sustainable tourism object. Example Bali island, It contains three aspect. In Bali, the tourist could find many natural/eco tourism like Kuta beach, Nusa Dua Beach, Uluwatu beach, Dreamland beach, Lovina beach, Pecatu Beach, Kintamani High Area, Bedugul Lake, Batur Lake, and many more. The tourist could find historical object also, like Tanah Lot temple, Sangeh Temple, Tampak Siring Palace, Ex-Bali kingdom palace and many more. The traditional tourism objects like Sukowati market, Jager and Barong dance, Bali villagers daily life in Ubud, Bali traditional liquer like Brem, Arak, Etc, and many others. Bali is complete and popular not only in Indonesia but also in International society.

The Indonesia government, especially the department of tourism have many kinds of efforts to build not only Bali but another tourism object to be more sustainable. The efforts are including promotion, recover and restructure tourism object, developing facilitates, developing the quality of his tourism object.

Singapore also has some sustainable tourism. Singapore had been the shopping destination in the world. In Singapore, the tourist is coddled by many kinds of item including traditional and modern. Shopping had been the cosmopolitan life style. Not just shopping centre that Singapore have. That country have the big bird conservation and park , Jurong bird park. It is very famous because included one of the big bird conservation and park in the world. Singapore also have the newest and first annual event that it sould be sustainable. The event is Formula one night Grand Prix. Singapore had been the first country that held this event on Asean region. In Singapore, there are some natural/eco tourism like Sentosa Island. That country also present the gambling place. That place had been famous in the world. Many gambler come and it absolutely make Singapore’s income raised.

For the efforts to develop his tourism objects, Singapore do some efforts as same as Indonesia. That country promote his tourism abroad, build many facilitates, recover and restructure, and built many another tourism object. Singapore also cooperate with many countries to raise their tourism activity. As same as Indonesia.
